Berlusconi denies paying female escorts
Allegations are rife that Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has been paying female escorts to attend private parties at this home.
Corriere della Sera, Italy’s leading newspaper, claims that magistrates investigating a local businessman in southern Italy on suspicion of corruption found out during the course of their investigation that he had paid female escorts to accompany him to dinner parties at Berlusconi's house.
The 72-year-old is now beside himself trying to defend these latest allegations. He has had to explain himself quite often in past due to his so-called inappropriate relationships with women.
According to The Sun, one of the alleged escorts, 38-year-old Maria Teresa De Nicola, claims that after partying with 15 other girls she "spent some hours with two girls from Rome and Berlusconi".
The next morning, she claimed, the prime minister gave her jewellery. Berlusconi denies the allegations: "Once more, newspapers are full of trash and falsehoods. I am not going to let myself be conditioned by these aggressions..."
There has been some sort of evidence presented by one of the alleged ladies however; audio tapes that Patrizia D’Addario says she taped on some of her visits there.
The Italian daily La Repubblica and other publications in Italy have published pieces of an alleged bedroom conversation between Mr Berlusconi and Ms D’Addario.
Mr Berlusconi is apparently heard telling the woman to wait for him on the “Putin bed”, said to have been a gift from Vladimir Putin, the Russian Prime Minister, if she finishes showering first.
“I will take a shower as well . . . and then wait for me on the big bed if you finish first?” Ms D’Addario replies: “Which bed . . . that Putin one?”
Mr Berlusconi: “The Putin one.”
Ms D’Addario: “Oh how sweet, the one with the curtains.”
